Embarrassing Question: Nipple Piercing

Friday June 20, 2003
Q: "I am going to get my nipples pierced and my friends are telling me that it is going to be so painful that I won't even be able to do anything for a week. I want to get them done so bad, but I don't want to be bed-ridden for seven days. My question is how bad is the pain, really, and how long before I can go out and have fun?"
A: Your friends don't have their nipples pierced, do they? For whatever reason they may have, they are just trying to scare you. Sure, a nipple piercing hurts a little bit. It's a really strong pinch and a squeeze - but there's no reason you can't be partying that very night. No piercing should ever leave you bed-ridden.
