Like, the second we sat down, her eyes zeroed in on my highly visible tattoo on my upper right arm....Just the whole time, it was this calculating, crabby expression. She kept staring at the tattoo...I just found that very ver rude for 45 minutes I was being x-rayed by Grandma Cataracts!!"

Has this ever happened to you? If it did, what would you do or say? Join the discussion and share your thoughts.

I would have told her to stop. People gawk at me all the time and I put it right on them all the time and say, “Excuse me, have you got a ——- problem?” Fill in the blank with whatever you want. It all depends how creative I fell that day or what kind of mood I’m in.

Staring is downright rude and makes the person uncomfortable. Plain and simple. Unless there is a physical attraction of some kind and the feelings are mutual, staring at someone in the manner you describe is just callous. Woman has problems for sure.

You are why people stare at us!! Why on God’s green earth you cuss at someone like that. You’re different and in a totally different generation then her. She is curious and has already tag you as something you’re not. (But in your case, are) Show her we are not bad people; respect her, even though you think she is not doing the same to you. Smile at her and say “Hi”. When she realizes you have acknowledged her stares she will stop and if she doesn’t that’s on her. That is all….don’t act like a jerk!
