Forum Discussion - The Bottom Line on Female Genital Piercings

Sunday October 17, 2004
Sharptattoos writes: "If you're looking for a triangle piercing, your piercer should be able to tell you whether or not you're suited for one after they've examined your anatomy. Not everyone is suited for a triangle piercing. It's important to find someone who has a lot of experience if you're considering getting this done. If it's done wrong you can lose sensation. :(

Hood piercings, which go through the clitoral hood bringing the ring in contact with the clitoris, can be done vertically or horizontally depending on your anatomy. This piercing is more common than a triangle piercing and is a bit less risky (and if done right, they work very well IMO). Still, your piercer should be experienced working in this area, or on any area of your body."
