In the News: The Electric Michelangelo and The Human Billboard
Sunday October 24, 2004
The Electric Michelangelo is a fictional novel written by Sarah Hall. I'm trying to get my hands on a copy of this book, but it seems to be difficult to find here in the States. It appears to have a very rich plot about a tattooer in the 1920s, and although this is only Ms. Hall's second novel, her first book won the Commonwealth Prize for a first novel. Read the news article for a great summary of the books' contents.
"The Human Billboard" is the nickname that has been given to Jim Nelson, a man who brazenly offered his own scalp as a means of advertising. Since agreeing to take him up on his offer in March of 2003, C I Host has welcomed 800 new clients due to this bold new form of advertising.
