Artist Gallery - Tattoos by Doc - 11 Tattoo Pictures
Sunday July 2, 2006
Doc has been in the tattoo business for fifteen years, and works at Wolf's Fine Line in Joliet, Illinois. Doc is a very down-to-earth guy that believes in quality art at reasonable prices. Doc says, "I think I fill a niche spot in the market. I'm not covered with tattoos and piercings, and therefore, when older folks come into the studio, they seem to gravitate to me, as someone in thier 60's still simply doesn't understand how someone can do that to their body. I try to keep humble - and just put out clean, sharp looking work for the average Joe. If someone wants a $1900 color bomb on their arm, I invite them to see Guy Atchison. If they Want $1500 worth of black and grey, please by all means see Paul Booth. Also, there are a myriad of artists doing the 'new school' type of stuff with the swirling backgrounds. But the majority of folks just want that eagle they saw on the wall. I try to be the guy to give them an award winning eagle at a respectable price. I won't sell them a background. I may suggest it, but it's not like I wouldn't do the tat without it."

This guy is awesome… he gave me a tattoo five years ago and to this day I consistently get compliments about how good the artwork is. It’s an armband made of a vine and leaves (lots of detail and tedious work) I once had a lady come up to me in a store and tell me- I’ve seen a lot of tattoos- but whoever gave you that was a “true” artist. Thanks Doc!
