All About The Art of Mehndi

Sunday July 16, 2006
A few weeks back, I did some henna art on a friend and I had forgotten just how fun it was. After doing hers, the kids all wanted in. Then I hennaed up my own hands since I still had some left. If you aren't ready for a permanent tattoo - or even if you already have permanent ones - henna is a very temporary and painless art that is a lot of fun to do.

The pages here will give you a short introduction into just what henna is, where it came from, and how to do it. You'll find a recipe for henna paste, instructions on how to apply it, learn how to make application cones, and you can get ideas on creating your own designs or download the free ones that I have created for you. It's a great project to do with your kids over the summer break or weekend and it's a lot of fun. Give it a try!
