Tattoo Artist, Motorcyclist and Compassionate Friend to Many
Mark Hebert - 03/27/1966 - 07/31/2006I did not personally know Mark Hebert, but I have seen such a passionate response to his passing that I felt he deserved a space on this site for his friends and tattoo clients. As a fellow motorcycle rider, I also feel especially touched when a fellow on two wheels goes down.
Mark was the owner and a tattoo artist at Hardcore by Madness in Chatham, Ontario Canada. What I've learned about Mark in the past week from his family and friends is that he was a big guy with an even bigger heart.
Lisa, a friend and tattoo client, made a website in dedication to Mark, on which she shares many touching memories about him. A friend who identifies himself as MPD shares on Blogspot page, "There was nothing I couldn't tell Mark because he never judged me or anyone. Whatever makes you happy is what he always told me." Another friend, David, said, "If you are writing about Mark, [I] just thought I would let you know what a compassionate and honourable man he was and always will be in the hearts of his brothers. When you called Mark at the shop and asked, 'What's goin' on, bro?' he would always reply, 'Just inking the world, one piece of skin at a time, bro.' He is now doing the same in a whole new world."

Mark took something ugly and made it beautiful, he was an amazing friend. The many hours I spent with him getting my ink, was not all about the ink it was about knowing a great person and the strength and inspiration I got from him. I will miss him so very much, and having his work of art on me is an honour.love ya man, thankyou

Hello my name is Mike other wise known as MERELLY to those on the internet. I was and still am a very good friend of Marks… I never knew Mark all his life but what I did know of Mark was enough to know he was an awesome friend and bro… I helped Mark renovate his shop, to help make his dream come alive and I never expected anything in return why you ask… because Mark was the kind of man who would help you out the best he could.. and all I did was return the favour to the man who gave so much.. alot of you know Mark from tattoo partys and from his shop and work….. I knew mark at home.. off and on the net… and at work so I got to know Mark other then the madman tattooist… Mark touched us all in a way that was special to each person… he made everyone feel like they were his best friend.. so for those who know Mark knows who he was… I just feel so sorry for those who never got to met the man because if you were touched by Mark.. guess what… you just joined the madness.. Love you brother… keep on inking bro.
Thank you Karen for showing everyone that not all tattooists are big bad men, they may look like it but they’re not.Mark was the gentle giant in my eyes he is my brother , he gave ya trouble if you needed it, he gave you the hug when you needed,it but most of all he gave you the love and respect that you gave him in return.4ever ,4life madman…
