I had the same piercing done and while it hurt initially during the piercing and for a week afterwards, it doesn’t really hurt anymore. I occasionally catch it on a low cut shirt, and that hurts, but no problems with hugging, etc… it may just be that yours needs more time to heal? I’ve decided to keep mine.
I TOO HAVE HAD MINE DONE AND HAD TO TAKE IT OUT I BELIEVE NOW I WILL BE LEFT WITH A GOOD SCAR BUT AS WITH ALL MY PIERCINGS I LOVE AND HAVE TAKEN OUT… EXPECIALLY IN MY FACE….
i want that done so bad,
but i need to know about the aftercare before i get into it.
I , too, have my clevage pierced. It didn’t hurt at all when I got it pierced or when it healed but I would definately say to be careful when it comes to snagging it on clothes, bra, etc. because it can really mess it up. Just be careful.
my sternum piercing healed quickly and didnt reject. One of my guy friends has it done and his always looks red and irritated, he says it doesnt hurt too much. A month or two after i had no pain what so ever and now people come up to me and push it around and i dont even notice. Just be careful that it doesnt start to reject and take it out if it does, i have a horrible scar from a surface piercing on my stomach being ripped out a year ago. good luck!
MINES DIDNT HURT AT ALL UNTIL A FEW DAYS LATER THEN IT HURT ONLY A LIL WHEN I MOVED MY ARMS TO FAR…
if your in that much pain you much pain you might have an infection if i were you i would get medical attention

i just got mine done a few days ago i admit i was a lil scared but being that i have 2 piercings in my tongue, a navel piercing and a huge tattoo on my back it just felt like a little pinch i can lay down on my chest with no problem and give people decent hugs….
I’ve had mine done for about a year now, It hurt a lot when I first got it done (personally the clamps hurt more, but I don’t have much cleavage) and I was told it would reject in about 3 months. Proved them wrong
You mentioned it hurt more then your nipples, I strongly disagree!! But Aside from the pain when I first got it done and the occasional tug when it gets caught on a shirt I find it doesn’t hurt much anymore. If I lay down with my boyfriend funny sometimes it does stab into me but other then that not much hurts it. If I play with he balls (Changing them or cleaning it) it tends to get really red but never hurts. Personally, If I was you I would keep it in. they look amazing

I have a similar piercing, except, it’s microdermal. Which have a much less likely chance of being rejected than surface peicings.
but anyway. I think you should keep it as long as it doesn’t cause you too much pain or discomfort, because (in my opinion) they look very elegant.
but to be honest it shouldn’t hurt when you hug your husband, or anybody for that matter!
if you are getting a mammogram you should get PTFE it has a very low rejection rate and its xray safe. IT’s used in medical procedures because its undetectable by the body.
they pierced mine with it at River City Jewelers. You can simply google PTFE and it’ll tell you more. :]

I just got a microdermal clevage piercing 2 days ago…I also disagree that it hurts more than the nipple. I also have my bellybutton, nipple, vertical hood done. I found that the nipple was the worst. I found getting my cleavge done just to be a pinch like any other piercing. I am a very thin girl and I still didnt find it that bad. I am just hoping it doesnt reject cause it looks so nice! I think it depends on tolerance to pain because I had read online before getting mine done what other people had said and I was worried…the worst thing you can do is listen to other peoples stories because everyone is different.
She means that the surface piercing hurt more than the nipple piercing. I’ve never had my nipples pierced, but the surface piercing on my sternum was very painful because they couldn’t just push the needle through quickly like most piercings, they have to slowly slide it under your skin from one hole to the other. Mine rejected after about a year, and I’m looking into getting it done again, this time with microdermals…only thing I’m worried about it how much it will hurt piercing with the scar tissue there!
just got mine done about 3 days ago still a little sore and red i had a lot of brusing from the clamp but my piecer told me this was going to happen but it seems to be doing well. How long was it before u were able to change the ugly silver balls?
I had mine done about 3 days ago, it looks lovely, but i have had a terrible cough.. and when i cough it urts because im straining, i have it covered up with a plaster atm, and the bruising is going down.. and just like the rest of, i now cover my chest when i think im about to get hit there or being hugged! im my opinion it really did hurt me, iv got 13 piercings and this was my 14thnthe wost park was the man claping the skin with his fingers and messaging it.. that really hurt it was very uncomfortable.. but i spose when my cough decides to go it should be all good! but when i start to notice rejection it is coming out of me straight away, i dont want a big nasty scar :]]

well i got mine piercied about 3 munths ago..
just yesterday i went to go take it out and clean it and put my new ring in it..
just as i took it out all this puss started to come out ( ALOT of puss) and it started to get really fat! i ran to my mom and showed her.. she didnt kno what to do.. so i called my piercer. and he acted like it was tottally fine!! i was scared outta my mind!
so i left it alone like the guy said.. now i really regreat this percing cuz im going to have the uglyest scare EVER!
i recomend NOT getting it.

I just got mine done the day before yesterday. It hurt so bad! My piercer said i should spray saline solution and pat it dry, but to not move it, despite what others may recomend. But, I’m scared it’ll get infected, or that if i don’t move it, later when it gets caught on something and moves a little it’ll hurt and tear my skin. I’m also scared my body won’t get used to it, and reject it. How do i know if my body is rejecting it? Your advice is appreciated!
I had mine done a few years ago, and im thinkin about getting it redone.
but…
about half a year after i got it done, the bottom hole moved to the left, so it became slanted.
I took this as a sign of rejection or an infection and began cleaning it a lot more often until one day, i had the “accident”.
It was dinner time and i was out on the field with my mate and we rolled around the in the grass and he caught his watch on the bar and it snagged and tore the skin slightly.
THEN i took it out. Bleeding wouldnt stop and it was too painful and unsightly from then on.
And now, it’s been a few years and im still left with the 2 scars from it. Im considering going and getting it redone today and pierced through. But not all the way through. They can pierce through the top hole but not the bottom one considering thats the one that snagged.
I finally had mine done and was so happy with it! It was virtually painless when she inserted it. It did sting really bad for hours afterward. Some Tylenol and I was good.
I had it in for 2 weeks before getting it ripped out from a bath puff while I was showering. It happened so fast I didn’t feel it. No blood, no pain. It left a tiny scar that looks like a small bump. I had to get it redone in a different spot due to the scar tissue. Good thing I guess….the first one was off center! Lol
