My problem is, the first earlobe that was pierced had little to no problem fitting to the household item which is a wooden dowel, but my newer pierced ear took alittle more effort and because of that I apparently ripped it and now the wood dowel gets stuck to my ear if I don't turn it every 5-10 minutes or so because of the blood or mucus being let out from the cut/tear.
Is their anything I could personally do while keeping the new household item in, or will I have to down gauge for it to heal? (before hand I was using actual nails which I don't want to use again because of the extra length of nail showing behind the ear)."

My advice, go to a professional. I tried this myself with household objects, then went to a local piercer. Believe me, it’s far less painful, takes much less time and is far safer to get it done properly. It cost me very little and was well worth it.
You got lucky with one ear. Let this be a lesson. You should take the household item out and let it heal, first off.
Once it is healed I would advise you to go to a professional, but if you are still hard headed and want to do it at home at least get some real body jewelry(you shouldn’t be putting organic material into a newly pierced piercing i.e. wood, stones, horn, etc). Either way you it’s an investiment you will not regret.
I agree with the first two.
I heard from several sources that people didnt recieve the product they bought from amazon
is this true?
