"I recently got my tongue web pierced (about 2 months ago) and it's healed up well...the question that I have for anyone who has the same piercing is this: Do you prefer a CBR or a barbell? currently I have a CBR in and I love the way it looks, but I find that it's rubbing on my bottom gums...I don't want to have any gum damage related to a piercing, so anyone have personal experiences related to this issue? Should I have it changed out to a barbell?"

Hi
Try not to put any metal jewellery in your mouth it’s very bad for your teeth and gums! for alternative jewellery go check out the bioplast jewellery selection on http://WWW.BIOPLASTPIERCING.COM
Gum disease People with oral piercings especially long-stem tongue jewellery (barbells) have a greater risk of gum disease than those without oral piercings. The jewellery can come into contact with gum tissue causing injury as well as a recession of the gum tissue which can lead to loose teeth and tooth loss.
Damage to teeth Teeth that come into contact with mouth jewellery can chip or crack. One study in a dental journal reported that 47 percent of people wearing barbell tongue jewellery for four or more years had at least one chipped tooth.

Excellent site, keep up the good work. I read a lot of blogs on a daily basis and for the most part, people lack substance but, I just wanted to make a quick comment to say Im glad I found your blog. Thanks,
