Rihanna's Tattoo Faux Pas?
Let's see if I can explain this in less than 100 words. Rihanna got a tattoo in french - it says "rebelle fleur." The news sources have been poking fun at her, saying that her "rebellious flower" tattoo is grammatically incorrect. Rihanna shot back and said it's supposed to say "rebel flower" and therefore, the phrasing IS correct. The bottom line? Tattoos are personal, and just because you think someone's ink is "wrong" doesn't mean it is, so best to keep your nose out.
Soulja Boy's Tattoo Regrets
Souja Boy wants to be a role model for kids and thinks he's doing a pretty good job so far (he is), but he thinks that all of his tattoos are the only thing he's done that sets a bad example. And he's regretting them after a twelve year-old boy came up to him with a SOD Money Gang tattoo on his neck and he feels responsible for that. Listen, Souja Boy, if that kid's parents didn't have enough sense to put a stop to him getting that tattoo, there isn't a thing you could have done to prevent it either, even if you got each and every one of your tattoos removed. Bottom line: There are things that grown-ups can do that kids shouldn't, and it doesn't make you a bad role model if you do grown-up things when you're an adult.
Beyonce Goes Biker Bitch
Beyonce's latest photo shoot for her fashion line, Dereon, has her strutting her stuff in tight, black, studded outerwear and the other half of her body covered in tattoos (temporary, of course). The fashion industry is going crazy, either because they love it or they hate it. Granted, Beyonce looks amazing as always, but I'm still not loving this blur between the tattoo world and the fashion world. Bottom line: Keep your Apple Bottom jeans and the boots with the fur - leave the tattoos to those who truly respect them.

Comments
In regards to the Beyonce photo shoot, I don’t have an issue with it and maybe its because I am in the fashion industry. My thoughts are that incorporating the fashion world with the tattoo world is a great thing and it only helps the tattoo industry by making the tattoo artists/wearers/collectors gain acceptance wherever they may go. The more exposure tattoos get especially when celebrities wear them (fake or real) the more likely it is we will not face judgment and we will not be prevented from entering Great Adventures or some other theme land place because our tattoos were deemed inappropriate to the public or even worse prevent us from getting a job because we wear our art on the skin.
