Featured Artist Gallery and Bio - Sasha Merritt

Sunday February 18, 2007
I first heard of the work of Sasha Merritt when she sent in her story for Chick Ink. Then, I received another submission for the book - a very heart-warming story from one of Sasha's clients, Charlotte Brewster. I knew I had to look into who Sasha was and what kind of tattoo art she does, and it didn't surprise me one bit to discover an artist with a very feminine touch and an affinity for nature art. Some of my favorite pieces by Sasha are her cherry tree branches sprinkled with blossoms and birds. Her style is very unique and she apparently builds an incredible report with her clients. Read more about Sasha on her bio page and then enter a world of nature's beauty by visiting her tattoo gallery.

By the way, both Sasha and Charlotte's stories were approved for Chick Ink, and are just two of the forty enjoyable experiences to read. Be sure to pick up a copy!

I just wanted to say that I loved your book, chick ink, Dalla’s dad Marty gave it to me and it was pretty cool because I want to be a tattoo artist and anything about tattoos I love.

Thanks, Amber! If you got the book from Scrounge, then you got a signed copy, right? Well, enjoy the book and good luck on your endeavors to become a tattoo artist. :)

Sasha is an amazing artist and I love the full back piece (flowers and hummingbird) that she did for me. I felt like she put a lot of thought into drawing and coloring my tattoo so that I have a true piece of art. Whenever I show off the hummingbird, I get tons of compliments about the color, clarity, and quality of the tattoo. I also really liked the fact that she let me sit in several short sessions which made it easier for my schedule and less traumatic on my body. And most importantly, she was very clean and hygenic. I already have ideas for my next tattoo. And I would highly recommend her to anyone thinking of getting a tattoo.
