I am a 21-year-old mother of 1. I just today had my hood pierced; I also have my tongue, my navel and my ears pierced.
I can say that out of all my piercings, the least painful was my hood piercing - it was like a sting that lasted about 2 seconds, and then it was over with. I will let you know when it heals what the healing process was like, but I think it will be easy and not at all painful.
I think the worst part about getting the hood piercing was getting naked from waist down in front of someone that I do not know very well, but it was very professional and the man who pierced me and his assistant were very nice and talked to me about things other than my piercing, so that helped a lot to relax.
I would suggest to anyone that is pondering getting it done, DO IT. It is not bad at all. I am looking forward to a vertical piercing as mine now is horizontal.
