Definition: A "sea salt soak" is a form of aftercare for new piercings. Mixing sea salt with water and applying to the piercing helps to heal it and can also relieve soreness and dryness. Sea salt soaks are highly recommended for almost all kinds of piercings - it is even safe to be taken orally.
