Guide Rating -
Pros  •  Big, bold pictures
•  Feature artist and light content
Cons  •  A lot of ads to shuffle through
The Bottom Line - Skin Art is a real "in your face" publication with its large, bold and colorful photos. You won't have to strain your eyes to see the detail of these tattoos, as many of them take up the whole page. You get a wide variety of artistic styles and they're not shy about featuring dark or disturbing art. If you appreciate everything from fairies to rotting corpses, you'll really enjoy the powerful impact of this magazine.

Guide Review
In Your Face
The first thing you'll notice about this magazine is that the pictures are really large and bold compared to other body art publications. I wouldn't say that the art or artists are better than those featured in other magazines, but the presentation is what sets Skin Art apart from the others.

The problem is that Skin Art tends to be a difficult magazine to find on bookstore shelves. As with all body art magazines, you save a lot of money by getting the subscription. I'd especially recommend that with this periodical, and that way you also don't have to worry about where you'll be able to find the next issue.
