Product Summary
TATTOO Magazine
Guide Rating -
Pros • Good interviews and feature artists
• 50-60% pictures and flash
• Quality photography
Cons • Somewhat expensive (newsstand)
• Questionable advertisers
• Nothing overly attention grabbing
The Bottom Line - This magazine provides a good balance of eye candy and the printed word. If you want to learn about the collector wearing the tattoos or the artist that did them, you can. If you just want to browse through the pictures, you can do that, too. As with most body art magazines, it's a huge waste of cash to buy at the newsstand price. If you enjoy TATTOO, buy the subscription.

Guide Review
Well Rounded
For those that enjoy picking up as many body art magazines as possible, like myself, will want to include TATTOO in their collection. It's not a dynamic magazine that really grabs your attention, but it's a good magazine with pictures and interesting facts. For the most part, they feature respectable artistry. Some of their advertisements lean toward the "sleazy" side, offering phone sex and other things that have nothing to do with body art. But, I suppose it keeps the magazine running. If you only have money for one magazine, I wouldn't really recommend TATTOO be the one you buy. But, if you like to grab all of them for diversity, add TATTOO to the pile. It's $4.99 per copy or $34.95 for a 12 issue subscription.
