Lark Street Tattoo - Albany, New York
"If your looking for an incredible artist for your next tattoo,
I highly recommend Bruce Kaplan, owner of Lark Street Tattoo in
Albany, NY. I made an appointment with Bruce for a consult on
doing a cover-up. I was amazed at how comfortable I was with
him. He was very professional and personable.
The studio was outstandingly clean and the fellow staff were all
very nice. Bruce took a look at the tattoo I already had and
went to work drawing over it. We decided on a lotus flower he
had drawn over and he then stenciled the design on saran wrap
to work on. I made my appointment and went on my way.
Back at the shop, three weeks later, I was ready for my next
tattoo, but I was very nervous about the pain. Bruce talked with
me and helped take my mind away from the pain and offered small
breaks if I needed them. He often said how well I was doing and
offered words of encouragement - which helped. He finished my
tattoo in 2 hours and 40 minutes. I have to say that it was
worth every minute of pain. The tattoo is beautiful and Bruce
did a wonderful job. His detail is absolutely amazing. I am
thoroughly happy with my new ink and would like to recommend
him to all interested in tattoos."

I changed my mind while watching a Christmas special called AnnaBelle's Wish. It's about a cow that wants to be a reindeer. Well I just fell IN LOVE with her. So I found a picture of her and took it to Mike. Told him that I wanted her to be standing on a cloud with her front hooves crossed hanging on a half-moon.
He took to drawing it just as I had pictured it. When the day finally came, I couldn't wait. He was really patient with me since I don't have a high tolerance for pain. I decided to put AnnaBelle on my butt cheek. He did a great job!!! He wasn't to heavy on the hand and when I felt a little more pain then I could take he'd stop. I decided 5 months later I wanted another one and would only let him do it.
I'm up to 2 I'm considering 1 more and he'll be the only one I'll allow. When you first see him he looks like a typical tattoo artist all covered in ink...but he really is a sweet guy.... I also had them do my belly piercing (which needs to be redone) - they will be the ONLY place that I will let near my skin with needles. The whole staff is GREAT. More than one friend recommended me to them, and I recommend them to ANYONE considering getting tattooed...They are THE BEST!!!!
