If you were granted one wish, what would it be?
That more people would get to know the Lord.
When You Started Tattooing Professionally:
In 2003
How You Became Interested in Becoming a Tattoo Artist:
I have always been an artist and took art classes since I was a kid. Since I was 4 years old I wanted to be an animator. I basically took every kind of art lesson I could growing up, I even went to college for a couple years for art. I always liked tattoo's and wanted a lot of them since I can remember. I ended up getting an apprenticeship in Hollywood, CA from Chris Cosby (Big Chris), then started working my butt off in my new career, I haven't looked back since.
Favorite Style/Genre of Tattooing:
I try really hard to remain as versatile as possible. I more or less enjoy
doing anything custom, black and grey or color. I really like doing
realistic pieces basically all the way on down to traditional.
Tattoo Artists Who Have Inspired You Most:
There's a lot of them. Top 5 would have to be Big Chris, Robert Atkinson, Tim Hendrix, Mike DeMassi and Jose Lopez.
Contemporary Artists Who Inspire You:
I am constantly amazed with the pin-up artists of the 20's through the 60's. Gil Elvgren is one of my favorites. There were so many awesome artists back then its definitely hard to name only a few. A couple more greats in my book would be Baron von Lind and Billy De Vorss.
Other Interests and/or Hobbies:
I am infatuated with music. I love to fish, salt water or fresh. Hot
rods are a pretty big deal to me as well. Right now i am building a 70
Chevy truck, I actually just fired the new engine we built for it this
weekend for the first time. Also I am a gun collector and enthusiast.
Where You Work and How to Contact You:
My wife and I opened Electric Soul Tattooing in 2005
and we are a custom tattoo shop. We have a higher standard
of shop environment and tattoo quality, and our artists don't have the
typical attitude of a lot of shops.

Personal Thoughts and Advice from T Massari:
My advice to any aspiring tattoo artist is simply never stop learning. I see a lot of tattooists that have been in the business for multiple years and haven't advanced their skills in ages. That doesn't make sense to me at all. There is so many people in the industry that are so talented, also there is always someone that is constantly pushing the envelope. How can I ever look at my work and think that I have 'arrived'? Tattooing to me is a constant lesson. I want to soak up as much knowledge as possible and be the best I can personally be.
As far as a tattoo collector wishing to get tattooed, I would just tell them to be picky. There are so many awesome tattooists out there be choosy and get tattooed by someone that has great work. Me being a tattoo collector I know there is a pretty long list of people I would still like to get tattooed by.
For myself I have a pretty relaxed life. I am a pretty laid back Christian dude. I like working hard and playing hard. Life has been pretty trippy and I learned a lot of life lessons pretty early on. I ended up giving up drinking and the party life style some years back for clean living. It's worked out good for me, life is awesome and there is so much to do I am glad I am here to enjoy it. Tattooing and art are a huge driving force in my life.
