Question: Does a nose piercing have to be done with a CBR (ring)?
Answer: The reason most piercers recommend that you be pierced with a CBR is because it's so much easier to clean while your piercing is healing. It's difficult to get around a stud (bone or screw) to clean it properly, and if it should happen to fall out you've got a whole new set of problems. A CBR moves easily, isn't hindered by swelling and you don't have the fear of it just falling out while you're sleeping or exercising. Once the piercing is healed, then you can change to a more aesthetically pleasing piece of jewelry - or you might just decide you like the ring after all.
