Description of the tattoo/design
It is a Maori Mask, designed by Fatty and my former girl friend. She wears hers as a full back piece.
The Background Story
The Maori tribe had no written language, but they have these amazing tattoos with which they can trace their family history. Each line has a specific meaning and relates to a family event. It would be sacrilegious to copy one of these designs, as they are someone's family history and not yours.
Why The Tattoo is So Special
This tattoo was a gift from a quite remarkable lady. Even though we have parted ways, I still look at it daily as a reminder of what was a truly wonderful time in my life. I got this tattoo facing forward on my arm to watch out for me and keep me safe, and so far, "Angela" has done a great job!
Advice
- A tattoo is forever, so think before you ink! I have 7, with an 8th one in the works, and I don't regret any of them.
