Tat of the Week - Cuddly Koala

Sunday November 20, 2005
weiszkoalablog.jpg Do you remember me posting about my favorite collector, Bob Weisz? Well, if you do, then you know that Bob has a lot of really excellent tattoos. Bob keeps telling me he is not planning on getting any more and the next thing I know, I've got another email from him with another stunning piece of work. This is definitely one of my favorites. This one was done by Bob Tyrrell, who oddly enough is actually more widely known for his horror-inspired macabre art, not his cute and fuzzy animal art. That doesn't mean he didn't pull this one off like the pro that he is, though. Make sure you view the full-sized picture (by clicking the link) and just look at the eyes on this little guy. They shine like glass and you would swear you were looking at a photo, not a tattoo. This time, Bob didn't tell me this was his last tattoo, so I have a feeling I'll be hearing from him again before too long. *smile*

I love this!!!! I was just talking to my friend about getting one. I am just worried about it looking like crap or cartoon like because koalas aren’t the easiest to capture as a tat. Who did this one and I must get a hold of them. Thanks
Loopy
