Day Two at Hell City Tattoo Fest
One of the interesting live events that's taking place here this weekend is Guy Aitchison and Michele Wortman's "Innerstate" community art project. They've got forty artists set up side-by-side around the perimeter of a room, each one painting and doing their thing on their canvas of choice. Every few hours, you can return to the room and see the progress they've made on their painting or even see them starting a new one. They've got a great DJ in there playing some really organic music, which adds to the artistic energy surrounding the room. The artist in the photo here is Kim Reed of Milk Made Art in Savannah, Georgia.
You'll get the full report of the weekend's events once I'm back home - I have LOTS of pictures to share with you that I know you're going to enjoy. But, in the meantime, if you're anywhere nearby, I highly recommend you swing by. It's at the convention center on Third Street in downtown Columbus, Ohio and it runs until 11 p.m. tonight and then from noon until 8 p.m. on Sunday.
