Untitled

Some inject heroin
I inject ink
Same effect
More expensive
Just as addictive

Everyone has their
Scars
I pay for mine

Some call it mutilation
I call it
Therapy

Butterfly
By Jo

Butterfly...
the significance you are to me
beauty
freedom
a sense of wonderment
a fragile thing
carefully handled
if not, then pain
even death
caused by the abuse
of thoughtless hands
such as my life
is very much true
as a butterfly
the freedom and beauty
marked on me
forever, near my heart...

Exterior Beautification
By Maggie

The Skin Art of living comes from one's heart;
It's something that will definitely last forever.

For some, this Skin Art can represent many things;
Mine represents me deep from within.

My skin is beautiful and adorning to me,
I feel the character of my Skin Art is perfect.

Skin Art makes a person's outer ness individual;
It cannot be reproduced to the exact of another.

Displaying my Skin Art makes me feel proud;
I am never embarrassed by the way my skin looks.

Getting a Tattoo on a whim is not for me;
I take careful consideration in choosing every piece of Skin Art I own.

Acquiring Skin Art for your body can be addictive,
For me, it is now and always will be.

Freedom To Be Me
By Katie

Why do you look at me like that?
I'm not a freak because of what I've done.
Is it not on my own free will that I ink and pierce my skin?
It is not your body that is being affected,
So why do you look at me so strange?
This is how I express myself,
and show that I am set apart.
This is what makes me different and original.
